Our Rhythm of Life

“If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for the gospel will save it. What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?” Jesus Christ (Mark 8:34-36)

“He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.” Jim Elliot (Through Gates of Splendour)

“I have come that [you] may have life, and have it to the full.” Jesus Christ (John 10:10)

At Outreach House we’re passionate about discipleship; we long to follow Jesus closely and enjoy the beautiful fullness of life that he offers. So, the structure of our life here is all about helping us live out our greatest passion – together, loving and encouraging and accountable to each other. Following Jesus isn’t something we want to ‘add onto’ life, but it is our life.

We seek to put God at the very centre of all we do. For those of us who are the Team at Outreach House, living out our ‘rhythm of life’ actually means several different interlocking rhythms which ‘hold us’ as we journey through life.
