Our Weekly Rhythm
Each weekday evening we have different activities happening either with people coming into the House or us going into the village. For example, the first Friday night of each month is “First Friday Film Night” when we watch a current film release before open discussion about the film, its content, values and assorted ‘deep and meaningful’ questions.
Alternate Tuesdays see a bunch of us making, creating and experimenting with different crafts; we’re enthusiastic rather than expert and we love it! We also do one-to-one or small-group Bible studies, and enjoy village activities like the WI, rag-rug class or helping at the local youth club.
On Saturdays we try to have a completely free day so that we can rest and re-create.
Sunday is our Church Family Day. We gather in the morning to worship God and share communion afterwards in our beautiful, often chilly, chapel in the garden. Anyone and everyone is welcome to stay for lunch.
Sunday afternoon is a chance to have a walk, go for a drive, play games or just be together. High Tea follows – this is always a total treat. Finally, “story time” means we enjoy the simple delight of listening to a story read aloud in front of the fire.
